Vasco Rossi, Sally

Attendo con impazienza il concerto del primo Maggio del piu’ bravo e popolare poeta Italiano vivente. So che si appresta a cantare anche Sally, una delle sue canzoni piu’ tristi e nostalgiche. Nella storia della lingua Italiana, Petrarca, Tasso, Parini e D’Annunzio hanno scritto bellissime poesie. Ecco, io credo che Vasco Rossi ha scritto una poesia bella almeno quantole loro piu’ belle poesie parlando della signora Sally, una donna sui quaranta negli anni novanta. Al video, segue il testo.

Ma forse Sally è proprio questo il senso…il senso…

per affrontare i sensi di colpa
e cancellarli da questo viaggio
per vivere davvero ogni momento
con ogni suo turbamento
e come se fosse l’ultimo…

Italia ventottesima nel turismo

Nonostante l’Italia possieda il piu’ grande patimonio archeologico al mondo ed abbia buoni ospedali ed aeroporti, i Paese e’ solo ventottesimo nella classifica della competitivita’ del settore turistico secondo un recente rapporto del World Economic Forum. Il pessimo piazzamento nel settore e’ dovuto ai regolamenti bizantini imposti da una burocrazia lenta e tesa a scoraggiare ogni investimento nel settore. Altre cause del pessimo piazzamento sono la scarsa efficienza dei trasporti via terra e la scarsa attenzione allo sviluppo del settore in maniera eco-sostenibile. Nel video qui sotto Miriam Makeba canta la disperazione dei neri confinati nelle riserve attorno alle citta’ Sudafricane ed esposti ai soprusi della polizia del regime razzista Sudafricano. Un regime che l’ha condannata a 30 anni di esilio, ma che alla fine e’ stato sconfitto. Anche grazie a lei.

Cresciuto in una citta’ di minatori della Virginia dell’Ovest, Bill Withers ha lavorato in una fabbrica che produceva bagni per gli aerei della Boeing prima di raggiungere il successo negli anni ’70. Forse e’ la sua storia di operaio a fare si’ che le sue canzoni siano semplici e dirette. Un esempio di intensa semplicita’ e’ “Kissing my love”, che le sensazioni dell’amore. Segue il testo.

Damien Rice, The Blower’s Daughter

Come Joni Mitchell e Bon Iver, anche Damien Rice riesce ad emozionare solo con una chitarra ed una poesia. La voce di Damien Rice sembra stentata ma risulta potente, sembra a tratti stonata, ma poi si riprende con acuti purissimi. La poesia e’ splendida e descrive una serie di immagini semplici ma eterne, in qualche modo sconnesse tra loro ma collegate dall’ossessione per l’amata da cui il cantante non riesce a staccare i propri occhi. Forse l’amata e’ la misteriosa figlia del soffiatore, “the blower’s daughter” e chi e’ il soffiatore, forse il vento? Buon ascolto e buona lettura.
